  1. Interesting to see celebrities like Eminem, Shakira and Cristiano Ronaldo on this top ten, instead of teen stars like Justin Bieber. I wonder why is that.

I think the first result is a bit unfair, since you automatically like the page when you download the Facebook smartphone app!

  2. Those numbers are so huge! Can we even comprehend how big those are… I once saw a video about how big the number 100,000,000 is. It was an example about how much the government has ripped us off. But still, can you imagine if that many people viewed your profile or webpage a day? It’d probably crash! Maybe someday I’ll make a site about someone or something and that many people will see it. Would be a huge dream of mine if something like that happened!

  3. It would be awesome to get a glimpse of the Insights of these pages, and generally see their reach on different posts. I can imagine how fun it is for their social media managers to work :O and also it would be fun to see how many of those actually come from India click farms 😀

  4. Why is Rihanna on there! That’s surprising considering she isn’t always in the limelight. It is interesting to see that most of these are just big name corporations. I wonder what they have to offer by subscribing to their Facebook page? I’d love to see why these numbers are so high! Very interesting thank you for the post.

  5. wow, I was surprise to see the Simpsons on this list. Who would have known people loved and watch them as much as they do. I wasn’t surprise to see like Rihanna and Eminem on the list. Rihanna is like one of the most talk about people in the world.

  6. This is actually very interesting. I like see some of the people from my generation vs what we hear now. Both Shakira and Emimen came around when I was in high school. It’s also nice to see “The Simpsons” are still very popular.

  7. haha, the two final places on that list are surprising to me.

    9) The Simpsons: I could place this show above some of the big names on the list for being more interesting and delivering more entertainment than them over the years. They have been quite a steady show.

    10) Texas HoldEm Poker: OK with the new wave of popularity of poker across the Internet as well as poker tournaments both online and offline, this may have been deserved… but still, I could give the spot to plenty of other celebrities and shows which are -frankly speaking- much more entertaining to me than just watching poker games. Sorry poker, I’d rather have Beyonce!

  8. It is surprising to see ‘Texas HoldEm Poker’ on that list. I was also surprised not to find the meme page ‘See more’ as it is one of the most popular meme pages on Facebook. There are lots of pages I would like to see on that list. I rather have Enrique Iglesias on that list than ‘Facebook for Every Phone’.

  9. I find it funny that the top 2 Facebook fan pages is also Facebook in on itself. It’s really interesting that Pop icons are on the top of the list goes to show how people really care about their celebrities and my God Texas Hold’ Em Poker is really popular.

  10. This is a bit more interesting and diverse than some of the other social media top 10’s. But still, loads of kid friendly stuff that doesn’t really offer anything substantial.

  11. I have been using Facebook for a very long time and I have not seen any of these pages. I might have to search for them and see what makes them so special to be in the top 10.

  12. I tried to utilize Facebook fan pages to promote my businesses. So far, it has not reached a million likes. But hopefully it will someday.

  13. I am glad to see Shakira on the list. She is awesome. So is Coca-cola.. It’s nice to see such a wide variety on here.

  14. Frankly, I am not surprised one bit, these are all pages belonging to Social Media giants. It just shows there is a lot of room for growth for everyone in this business.
There are many strategies out there to make the social media audience grow and spread, it is more difficult for to have an organic growth as some pages are prioritised over others, however, it isn’t impossible. It all depends if our intentions are to monetize your business and you believe in having real followers.

  15. Wasn’t aware Shakira was that popular, didn’t think she would have been on the top 10, whilst all the other on the list I’m not surprised at in the least. I think the Facebook for Every Phone automatically is liked when you download the phone app and either people don’t realize or are too lazy to unlike it hence its popularity.

  16. Not what I would have expected, really. But interesting nevertheless, like seeing what is being most googled in a year. For me, I don’t “Like” the page of every artist/show/other I like, so I’m not sure what it says about it, exactly.

  17. I’m surprised that Texas Hold ‘Em has that many fans. Maybe this is because the game is older, and so is Facebook’s users?
Eminem and Rihanna are no surprise, since they’re very well-known celebrities. Shakira did come to me as a surprise since she hasn’t been the “it-girl” in a minute.

  18. Huge numbers, and so cool to see even celebs make the lists like Eminem. It also shows the social power celebs now have on both the youth and adults. A lot more different than other social media like Twitter, Instagram, and Vine.

  19. Good to know. Some of the top ones here still belong to artists and musicians. it’s very impressive, you’d think that with all the variety and ‘produced’ types of music today, artists would have less fans. I guess I was wrong.
