Google Website Testing

Everyone wants their website to be on the first page of Google search results. It’s a very difficult thing to achieve and search engine optimization (SEO) has become an important online science, though unfortunately many employ smoke and mirror tactics as they don’t understand it.

Google has daily minor updates to its search algorithm with major updates occurring several times a year. One of the latest major factors announced was regarding how mobile-friendly your website is.

There are many testing tools out there. A recent new one added to the mix is (which is free):

Using testing tools such as this helps provide you with low hanging fruit to quickly tackle which will benefit your website ranking in the long run. SEO is not something you do overnight; it is something that takes time, patience, and many little tweaks. My company Microtek has worked hard for many years at trying to better learn the Google secret sauce and help many organizations who want to rank better in the search engine results. You can definitely try it out yourself (e.g. highly recommend Yoast plugin for WordPress websites) or you can get some help. Just make sure it is something you aren’t ignoring as your online presence is becoming a direct reflection of your organization; not just sales and marketing, but also whether people even want to work for you. As a first step, make sure your website is responsive (mobile-friendly) and make use of testing tools.

  1. This is a great tool, it’s always good to know that there are sites like this, and the best thing about it is that is free, that’s a great plus.
It seems curious for me to think that how mobile friendly a web site can be really impacted on how popular it is, but I think that it actually has a lot of sense, there are people who don’t even use a laptop or PC anymore, mobile devices had really made a change in us.
