About

David Papp, P.Eng.

25 + Years Experience in Information Technology

David Papp is a technology pioneer specializing in M&A Activities, Technology Management, Cybersecurity & Privacy, Online Marketing, and Blockchain.

He helps industry members become more tech savvy so they can also thrive safely in today’s economy. He is a consultant, speaker, creator, and entrepreneur with a degree in computer engineering and numerous industry certifications. With more than twenty-five years of experience, David delivers an engaging and passionate consulting and speaking style that both educates and entertains. He authored a book based on his experiences titled IT Survival Guide: Conquering Information Technology in Your Organization and is a Professional Member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers. He helps organizations embrace technology to succeed in the online world.

David has been involved in the creation of many data centers throughout Canada and helped pioneer commercial Internet in the 90s. He survived the dotcom bubble as VP of a public TSXV listed company, has been involved in the creation of many start-ups, acquired and sold various tech businesses, started crypto mining in 2014, and got involved in M&A in 2021.

He created his main consulting business, Microtek Corporation now operating as Mtek Digital, and successfully became a one-stop shop experience for over two decades. Mtek was acquired by MSP Corp and David joined the executive team as Chief Technology Officer helping oversee all their tech subsidiaries throughout Canada, involved in M&A due diligence activities, integration & merger projects, marketing & branding, and operations.

Through strong communication and people skills, David has built long-lasting business relationships with clients while acting as their technology advisor. His clients benefit from his effective ability to communicate in a clear and understandable manner so they easily understand their unique technology and online needs.

For fun, David loves to play board games with family and friends. Through this passion he created UberStax and UberTrayz tabletop board game accessories as a personal project starting with initial designs and prototyping in 2013. Mass manufacturing was then achieved through injection molding by running multiple successful crowdfunding campaigns which led to arranging for warehousing and fulfillment with backend integrations internationally. He has toured the overseas factories and fulfillment warehouses, developed the entire branding, packaging, labelling, barcoding, pricing strategy, and line sheets which led to the need to create an automated global sales and fulfillment system. Furthering this with lead generations, influencer marketing, list development, explainer & video marketing along with ongoing annual sales campaigns. This has resulted in having manufactured and sold over 500,000 pieces to-date to distributors, retailers, and direct to consumer with a great understanding of everything involved in conceiving a new product, pushing it out to market, and scaling through automation.
